About the Podcast

Between Borders
Welcome to the Between Borders podcast. We are a collective of researchers who work on different topics relating to precarious migration. We reflect on how people working - or doing research - in this area can better support people who are moving or have moved across borders.

This second season of Between Borders focuses on care, which has become a central theme in migration research and solidarity work, not least since the COVID-19 pandemic. To a large extent, this widespread interest in care has emerged in response to the increasingly uncaring and violent reality of border regimes in the UK and across the world today. Through a series of four episodes, we seek to unpack care through the lens of migration to explore different ways of understanding care, and why this matters for a more just world.
